Even in the area of clopfics, there are examples extremely of well-written prose. In all genres, pony fan-fiction has the good and the bad. There are plenty of stories magnitudes higher in quality that exist (no offense to the author, I loved the story).

I wouldn't call it sinking to a low, unless you are reading all the horrible self-insertion HiE stories :P

I laughed at the video personally. I wasn't offended, I facepalmed a bit, but you know what, it's college humor. It's like South Park, I go there TO watch people get made fun of. Even myself. Making fun of yourself is the best way to let loose and let go of the consequences. Just don't let it get to your head.
