Standing back and criticizing is easy but getting your hands dirty with the politics to the job done is another thing. Two years ago everybody was promising health-care reform but the pundits said it would never get done. Yes, their is a long way to go, but they are further along then anyone could have imagined.
Is this journalism or the World Wrestling Federation? Only in America can you be paid for this boorish behavior. If you invite a person on the air you should ask hard questions but you should let him talk. If Ratigan worked for me he would be fired.
By the way I also didn't agree with Donahue's answers.
A huge amount of people come into healthcare facilities unable to pay for treatment of their chronic and even fatal diseases that could have been prevented. Have we come to the point where we will withhold compassion and basic treatment because we don't approve of their lifestyles? I hope our nation has not come to this.
