Hi there! I mixed the ganache into the 1/4 cup batter and spooned it over the cake where I dropped the ganache balls in. Just spoon it in the surface to create the pattern. Not sure why yours sank though. Not sure about the thin crust you saw, maybe it depends on the type of chocolate used.

I think it’s the same thing, just called differently. Just pop it in the oven to toast it a bit.

No mistake:) that's how I've seen them do it. They cook really fast anyway and kinda thickens the soup slightly.
