Fantastic post! Good insight into one of the more under discussed aspects of the game. I imagine it would be a difficult process to filter out the quality of picks and put those quantities through a sieve. I guess the advice you gave back in your interview over at Points in the Paint holds true. "Staying active on the wires throughout the season", does pay off.

You are a far braver man than I, Patrick. I'm the guy who has a "Don't Bother Drafting List" (DBDL), remember?

I would rather place my money on gambling on fresh break-outs rather than vets coming back. Well, I suppose even that philosophy makes me pay a price on some level. That's exactly why I didn't get the sweet taste of Dwyane Wade this year. That stung.

I am staying away from Camby until the Clippers situation stabilizes and clears up; and I am staying away from Gilbert Arenas, because well he's GILBERT ARENAS!

Having made that statement, I must qualify it by saying that as a Manager, I would be more inclined to roll dice if I wasn't blessed to be in the TOP 6 draft positions next season.

It would be interesting if we could come up with some metrics regarding how much impact TOP 10 players have in getting a fantasy team to the playoffs or even the podium. Eager readers are wondering if you are DONE with Camby, or even with Arenas for that matter.

PWNAGE! Inc. did one better than sending a fruit basket. We have decided to draft Brook in as MANY leagues as possible next season!

Yao Ming - for playing more than 70 games this season

Tony Parker - for being a better fantasy point guard than anyone expected.

Dirk Nowitzki - for his crucial 16 of 17 freethrow shooting close to the end

Mario Chalmers - for being a good enough pickpocket so his other shortcomings can be overlooked

Nels - for trading Paul Pierce to us in exchange for David West, relatively early in the season.

Thabo Sefolosha - for being such an inspiration

Lamar Odom - for uncharacteristically shooting 100% from the line over the course of the Finals week.

CP3, Kevin Durant and Andrea Bargnani - for giving us a scare and making the Finals such a nail-biting affair.
