Sunset's rampage can't happen w/o the element of magic, which Twilight made usable.

No super friendship Twilight = No super demon Sunset.

Just rewatched it.

In the season 4 finale they looked at Twilight who was behind the camera.
In this though they looked straight at the viewer... which is something that makes us humans really nervous.
