You totally missed the point. while historically Jews have been victims, we are not anymore. To say we are shows you have no idea of our current realities. Just looking at American Jews' current status shows we have arrived and are respected for it. If your argument was true, we would have no way for government leadership, whether in US or Europe, to condemn Jew bashing.
I don't understand when it is ever reasonable to attack a peaceful protest.
Treating gay people like second class citizens. Believing everyone should have access to military style weapons. Thinking religion should be allowed in public spaces. That's the Republicans. Not the Democrats.
Many true points here. I've been saying for years that of course Israel shouldn't be compared to Saudi Arabia, ones a democracy and ones an absolute monarchy. With that said yes Israel is singled out unfairly at the UN and other international forums, but a democracy should be held to a higher standard than a dictorship. Yes countries like China and Iran and Cuba and Burma and etc etc should be an issue at places like the UN, and even more than Israel, but when it comes to standards, Israel is and should be held to a higher place.
It's funny how the major Jewish organizations (AJC,ADL, Hadassah, etc) are still liberal on 99% of the issues, particularly social issues and US domestic issues and yet because they are more hawkish on just Israel people say they are right wing. since when is pro choice, pro gun control, pro gay rights, pro separation church and state, and pro social help right wing?
I love this story! Such a beautiful and wonderful thing. Love is love. And no one should miss the opportunity to have the love parenthood brings.
Its interesting that your reading a publication (the Forward) that you passionatly disagree with. Its interesting that the Forward mentioned Jewish terror many times, yet I bet you never write your disagreement with them. Its interesting that the article you mention has nothing to do with lesbians yet you fee a need to mention it, and its interesting that you ACTUALLY think the Forward is ok with terrorism against Jews. But again I guess your just an interesting person.
So your justifying bad behavior by pointing to other bad behavior! You don't need to mention something against Jews just because of something against Arabs. If thats true then everytime something is written about a Jewish incident I better read an equal instance against Arabs!
