This might be a naive comment that has been brought up and shot down before, but since all ideas might trigger other, better smarter ideas, I figured I might as well through it out for all of you to think about. Since our governement is built on the 3 tier system, where each branch checks and balances the others, why don't we start a class action lawsuit against the bailouts. I got a friend tonight trying to rationalize President Obama's administration's actions against the CEO of GM by saying that the government is now a major shareholder of the company by bailing them out. Through the ability to through money at any corporation that begs for it, the government is owning/controlling national interests. This power, that the Executive branch has, is unparalleled. I would love some lawyer, to think about what I am saying, and tell me why or why not this would work. Thanks.
