Thumbs up for getting "shibboleth" into a post. Thumbs down for the rest of it being nonsense.

"but Londonderry actually accommodates both traditions but there is a shibboleth on this nowadays and the it means the hatred of anything english or british is still there."

What sort of sentence is that?

And but the it like the London in Londonderry hates Brits.

It's a bit like that. In your head. Must the be fun it in there.

Some dead gods - all found in the Bible - for supertaig. And a good read at that from the brilliant HL Mencken: http://www.ratbags.com/rsoles/comment/menckengods...

"You may think I spoof. That I invent the names. I do not. Ask the rector to lend you any good treatise on comparative religion: You will find them all listed. They were gods of the highest standing and dignity--gods of civilized peoples--worshiped and believed in by millions. All were theoretically omnipotent, omniscient, and immortal. And all are dead."

Aww cummawwn Savo. Surely you could take me when I'm drunk?!

No?!

Long runs the fox, eh?

You little too-wat. Today I made stew out of a hare. That's why I was in all day.

Dot, dot, dot

I believe on the basis of reason alone that makes you the fool. But we'll call it quits because I'm a bit tired of dispensing with idiots now.

MrJSavo. A click on your name reveals that you've made 523 posts on this site in a mere 19 weeks of membership.

A click on my name reveals I have made 546 postings in 46 weeks.

Now Savo. You claim to have a life. But you seem to have forgotten that one of the beauties of this kind of jousting is that there is a record.

Go and see. You've spent quite a lot moore than twice as much time fiddling around on here than me.

"I mean, seriously. This is outrageous, and afront to all those who have truly suffered."

You're one to talk. You are an absolute disgrace.

You are "objective" about your church?

Hah!

You are a disgrace.

All these thumbs-down from the good compassionate catholics. Casper made a comment of compassion and encouragement to a victim of abuse, and gets three thumbs-down.

It just appears that one can only think catholics put their church above child welfare, even when children have been raped and tortured, the church comes first.

Why are so many so-called Christians such nasty pieces of work?

You don't get it do you? This isn't just about the actual perpetrators, it is about the culture of enabling and cover-up at an institutional level - right to the very top, with Ratzinger, now pope directly involved.

What do you mean quazi-legality? It is a statement of six articles of international law that the church is in contravention of. "Quazi-legality" my back side dreamer.

Stop digging.
