There's a difference between backing one or more bills and supporting a party into government. Labour has been extremely vicious in its attacks on LibDems, especially Swinson who they say is really a Tory. There is no attempt to build bridges, and it's highly unlikely there will be a coalition or even C&S with either party.

From my Twitter experience, the wrong people have been let loose on social media. Cleverly, Hancock and Gove are not doing very well at all. Mind, I don't know if they know anything about the tweets bearing their names.

Francois appeals to a certain mindset. Not the one that's going to win back voters contemplating the LibDems, though.

A bit like me then. After going on a training course I didn't actually make any profit last year. But that's OK, life is good.

I'm not a company so that's not open to me. But I agree, all income should be treated equally.

It's all legal for a reason. I can assure you that being self employed doesn't mean being rich. But equally I don't intend on being taxed on my turnover before deducting expenses, wherever these might arise. Mostly on premises, advertising and training. All things an employer would normally provide.

It's not favourable tax treatment. If it was, then something needs to be done about that separate to IR35.

The reason they get paid more than permanent staff is because (i) there is no pension entitlement, (ii) they pay their own NICs, and (Iii) many employee rights don't apply. Their contract can be terminated without the usual procedures that permanent staff would enjoy, including in the event of TUPE.

Contractors do pay tax.

In which case, let them dig their own holes with racist nonsense like that.

It's important to avoid being a pot calling a kettle black. (Or any other colour).

Clearly law breakers are law breakers whatever their religion.
