I lived on the gulf coast of the panhandle for years and was in that water every day of summer. I have seen a few sharks in the water but never even heard about attacks until years after I had moved away. Makes me wonder what's going on with the sharks. Thoughts for the loved ones.
You know, I would have read that and laughed. Then I would sign and send it back just for kicks. People are so uptight these days. I wonder when we became so thin skinned?
Wow! I don't get how anyone could ...I mean really? That is below contempt. There is no excuse for not stopping. What did the next few who hit her think? Was it, oh well she's already down so it's ok? I truly hope she can recover, both physically and mentally. As for the people who did this, I don't know how you can live with yourselves. Frankly if you can then I don't think much of your humanity.
I don't want to harass anyone. I just think that if they don't support my family I should be able to make the choice to not support theirs by not patronizing their place of business. I have seen comments on earlier stories about this where some have claimed it would be unfair because it could result in a boycott. Well yeah, that's what happens. If you don't have the courage to stand by your convictions then perhaps you should rethink your stance. Just saying.
Just curious. How is it you know that it's a personal choice? I mean really how do you know?
Looking at these posts I think you might be wound a little tight for your handle there, Caligula!
I was down the road from there today and wondered where all the emergency and police vehicles were going. My first thought was the high school, I'm glad it wasn't. Glad that there weren't worse injuries. I know Spanaway has a bad rep, I have to say though that for the last ten years I've lived here it's been pretty mellow. At least in my neck of the woods, and I only live a few blocks from todays excitement.
"The defendant, Darereon Newton, was charged in adult court. Under state law, a 16- or 17-year-old accused of a serious, violent offense can be automatically charged as an adult."
And yet, the punks that decided it was ok to beat an old man got barely slapped on the wrist. Sick and sad! Not saying this guy should get off too. Just pointing out the craziness that we call a "justice" system.
This is truly a sad day. What little confidence I had in the justice system is fading fast.
They opened it to the public. Good for them. Colbert won, good for him. If I had a say I'd let it stand. It won't hurt the station will it? No it might just make the younger generations look at it in a whole new light.
Born that way or not they are citizens and have the right to be the way they are. Are you insinuating that if it's a choice, which I doubt, that it's ok to single them out like this? So far as the choice thing goes, I'm sure theese people while they are kids decide to take the hard road, you know, let's run around and be hated for this it will be a gas.
It doesn't matter why they are gay, they just are and really it's not anybody's business.
