I like your idea, and I feel the same way. However, I think that things are happening so quickly no one has a chance to react. On top of that when we call our Senators and Representatives we get the obligatory letter thanking for our interest in the subject. Ultimately, I think most of us have a feeling now that it doesn't matter what we do, we can't make a change against DC with pleasantries. They don't listen, they think they know best and we are too stupid to manage our own lives, so they are going to do it. Personally, I am fearful of what is yet to come, we hear Obama telling his friends in CA "You ain't seen nothing yet". Well, I know we hadn't seen it all, but that phrase alone is scary. We all feel paralyzed and losing hope that we can make a difference.

Don't you get it yet? How are you so naive to think you will be fiscally unaffected by all that the government is doing? They are nuts, they are spending more and more every day in the name of the "moral good". It has been happening for a long time, it is just now we are on an express train not a freight train. If you can afford all the taxes, don't have to worry about the government owning you fine. That is great and wonderful, and I support you and hope that one day I can be as successful as you. But right now, I am caught in the middle and don't like it one bit. I see where we are going, only problem is, there is no where else to run to.

The government has gone crazy. Not only are they going to increase tax rates (regardless of what they say), how can they help but not since they are 34% less then they figured they would be. They want to tax health care for those that have it, and then add a national sales tax (VAT). And guess who is consulting on the VAT (Value Added Tax)? Rahm Emanuel's brother who has written a book "health care for everyone" or something like that.
If this manages to get through, they will not eliminate the federal income tax, and we will be paying 10%+ as a consumption tax. I want to know when enough is enough.

Question for any active military:
Have you since the Obama administration took office been asked to list your "Privately Owned Weapons" with serial numbers, and storage locations, even if you are off base? And information pertaining to Concealed Carry Permits? Is this standard military practice?

It is ridiculous. Here is my take on the world today: "The norm" is now considered the absurd and penalized, the not so norm is now lauded and rewarded. Political correctness has whittled away at the basic foundation of everything we know to be true, and has caused individuals that are against any issue to be called the appropriate name regarding their lack of sensitivity to that issue.

It seems that there are more and more that actually feel that way. They are willing to live the life of "freedom". I think the only pleasure I will take is that when things get crazy, these are the people that will be begging for help and wondering what happened. Similar to the ant and the grasshopper.

I know exactly what you are saying, and I want the government to answer the following questions:
1) Why don't you check on the people that are getting welfare and find out how they live?
(i.e. the people up the street bought there house for $1 from the HUD program (they can never sell), they have a boat, 2 newer (later than 2006 cars), atvs, a widescreen they set in the yard and watch when it is hot in the house, and even more). Don't you think that their lifestyle should be equivalent to "food stamp" living?
2) Where does the extra cash come from? Here a lot of people on food stamps have a working husband, but remain/get divorced so that "mom" can get welfare. He works lives under the same roof and supports. This should be stopped.
3) What about drug use and other criminal acts? Do they follow up?

The system is so open to abuse it is crazy.

If this is a double post, I apologize. It seems that all of my posts today are being deleted or not posted.

I was sent this by a friend this morning. It is another DHS Unclassified "For Official Use Only" report on who is considered an extremist. This one points out that media that differs in opinion for the mainstream media could also be considered "extremist". Definitions are a little more clearly given.
