Fortysomething!!!

I mentioned this show to you a while back, Mark, and you were quite intrigued by the it. :) It's only 6 episodes. It's a funny, slightly bizarre comedy, starring Hugh Laurie (before House), Benedict Cumberbach (before Sherlock), Peter Capaldi and Anna Chancellor. Also, it's got some excellent female characters being awesome. Please give it a shot! :)

Yeah, the "women's breasts get in the way of shooting from a bow, therefore the Amazons needed to cut them off" thing is a myth. :)

Fortysomething

A 2003 ITV miniseries (only 6 episodes). Mark already had it on his previous Confirmed list, no idea what happened to it (haven't been around this site for a while...), but I'm sure you'd love it. Starring: Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi, Benedict Cumberbatch (long before he was famous) and Anna Chancellor. :) It's very funny, sometimes bizarre, and has awesome female characters.

If a married woman got elected as President, would her husband be the First Gentleman? :p

I'm usually pretty decent at identifying Polish (and other Slavic) people by sight - but then again, it's because I'm Slavic myself and know where to look for the subtle signs. It's not 100% proof, of course, but I've often guessed that a passenger on a bus (for instance) was Polish - and then they'd use their phone and speak Polish. :D It's a little "spot your fellow Slavs" exercise I sometimes do.
