Joan, there is definitely something happening. I have been over 100 for a long time, but within minutes of posting this comment, it dropped to 66 and has not changed:

" For the past two years I have been so concerned over what kind of country my kids and future grandkids will inherit. But lately, I am wondering if we will even have a country to pass on to them"

Not exactly provocative.

Not anti-Business but anti-competition. This administration is doing everything it can to reward a select few businesses while eliminating the competition of those not on the approved to succeed list.
The consumers should pick the companies that succeed, not Government.

There are over 59 million married couples in the US. There are standing laws against discrimination based on marital status at the federal level (EEOC) and all 50 states have legislation against discrimination based on marital status. Why do the 118 million of us married people put up with being discriminated against in our tax code? Why can two un-married individuals living together earn 400,000 dollars at the lower tax rate and a married couple can only earn 250,000 before being bumped up? Pigford I and Pigford II proved a class action can be successful against the Feds. I would love to see a group of pro-family groups bring a class action suit against the Federal tax code. Maybe this could be a much needed trigger to simplify and modify our tax structure.

That is strange. Yesterday my rating was 102. Never seen that before.

Don't give them any ideas. This will be added to the lame duck session.

No reporting or response from Big Sis on "The Fist of Allah". The latest weapon of these monsters. A rectal bomb that can't be detected with "the electric strip" or "the grope". (sounds like a new dance craze huh?) How is Big Sis going to adjust her procedures now? Since so many Americans don't mind the strip search, maybe they will put up with a cavity search in order to feel safe as well.
Sheeple!

I love the simple, straightforward, single paragraph amendment. In addition, all 50 states should ratify a repeal amendment for elected officials. Put some power back into the hands of the people as well. Can you imagine how much more our congressman and senators would listen to the voters?

Click on the "torrent freak reports" link at the beginning of the article. Read the posts, most are from Europe. Very, very interesting reading. They see things a hell of a lot more clearly than most Americans do.

Due process, the core and foundation of our country. You take away that protection and the entire system will crumble. It takes law enforcement more time to assemble the evidence and present it to a judge for a warrant. Take that out of the equation and let any branch of law enforcement skip that procedure and we have an instant police state.
