Yes, that was a shoot that aired on a taped episode of Impact. Geez. Our gain, WWE's loss. Hulkamania was always egomania and I don't miss it and won't missi it.

It's official - I'll watch Velvet Sky do anything.

It has to be Bully Ray as the promotion's MVP for 2013. It's not his fault the Aces and Eights storyline faultered - he did his part, but the booking didn't come thru often enough. With all due respect to AJ Styles and some other great performers, Bully Ray, for better or worse, carried TNA in 2013.

Terrific matchups. Let's hope for strong (excellent?) execution, including Hardy and Angle losing in the opening round and all the matches being played up as significant and given sufficient time to tell a story.

If Corgan is worth $50M, he could buy TNA and ROH, and maybe add a cable channel to the deal too. Especially with financing available.

Imagine a consolidated sale of those two companies and a basic cable channel with decent clearance around the U.S. You could have a genuine competitor to McMahon in a very short time, assuming there was still sufficient operating capital left.

Mark Cuban or Ted Turner would (or at least could) be wonderful. But if Panda Energy wants to maintain a "controlling interest" then this is barely worth talking about.

Good stuff, Vic.

GaleTyler is welcome to his opinion but I just hate it when people insinuate that everything has to be "new" "cutting edge" "young" etc.

What younger folks don't understand yet is that there is very little that is new under the sun, and quality comes from execution, belief, logic, consistency, respect for the audience, etc. Even Aces and Eights COULD have worked if it had been executed properly - but now instead we have a lot of wrestling fans, smart ones too, who believe you just can't do faction stories anymore. Umm, ok, there are only a handful of stories you tell in wrestlng - it's who, how, why, etc. that matters.

I wrote a column fantasy booking the Knockouts division a few months back in which I suggested having Velvet and Brooke lead a new Beautiful People faction against a face group headed by Gail Kim and Mickie James. In the comments, a reader said it was fairly common knowledge that Velvet and Brooke detest one another. Maybe it's not true?

Well, this is from Wrestling Observer, but more Jarrett, ie more of what made TNA special and different in the first place, sounds like a good thing.
