More meat for the grinder....

Well folks, this will be my final post to this website. With so many of my comments disappearing with no explanation, it's no longer worth my time to post here.

Thanks for the memories!

This comment will self-destruct in ten seconds (unless some courageous admin deletes it first!)

What conspiracy? It's all completely out in the open, for those willing to look farther than the headlines. I must say, your attitude strikes me as being hopelessly naive.

How long before this post disappears also? Read it while you can!

TKFIVE, it's not preventative crime-fighting when the primary motivator for the "plot" is the FBI "informant."

None of the cases you mentioned involved al-Qaeda recruiting inside the US. Anwar al-Awlaki lived in Yemen, before he was murdered by the US government.

"Inspired by" is not the same as "recruited by."

"What I would rather" is that Muslims not be singled out for these kinds of operations. "What I would rather" is for the word "terror" to be used in reference to people of other faiths who do the exact same kinds of actions, without prompting, and using real explosives.

As for al-Qaeda recruiting in the United States, I'd be interested to see any evidence of this happening.

You got me, TKFIVE. If it turns out that this guy is brown, I owe you a Coke.

Given his professed political views, however, I think that's extremely unlikely.

"He wanted to kill people, cause damage and become a fanatical martyr. "

In previous FBI terror stings, the participants were offered substantial sums of money for their involvement. I think it's too early to speculate on his motives.

Unfortunately, it's been demonstrated again and again that the "informants" are convicts who are offered deals: their sentences will be reduced if they can produce terror suspects. Whereupon these "informants" find some disaffected member of an immigrant community, provide them with a plan, money, and materials, and then sit back while the FBI swoops in.

These operations have but one purpose: propaganda.

When a non-brown person does the same thing with real explosives, it's not considered "terror."

[Kansas State Capitol Police spokesman Patrick] Saleh said the homemade explosives were made with household materials and designed to spray shrapnel once they were detonated. He did not have further details, but called them “actual explosives.’’

The truck had a specialty Florida license plate issued only to qualified paratroopers. It also had a Special Forces sticker on its bumper and stickers on its back window saying, “Welcome to America. Now speak English’’ and “Does my American flag offend you? Call 1 800 LEAVE THE USA.’’
