Is this received wisdom as it's actually not true, it's the other way round. I just put a 43-33 win for the Conservatives into a swingometer, got a con majority of 46. Then 43-33 win for Labour - majority 22. Try it yourself at www.electionpolling.co.uk

Both parties have committed to scrapping the fixed term parliament act so it will be back to Prime Ministers calling an election when they want to, not that they haven't done anyway. If Conservatives get a small majority, they may be forced to call one, John Major style, sooner than you think

It's safe to assume Labour and Libdems won't work together. They are too different this time round. Boris will use the excuse of having to work with Libdems to stop Brexit. Labour would work with the SNP.
