nhagman, I also like your idea. It is sad that such a fundamental concept would need to be spelled out and introduced as an Amendment to the Constitution. I find it interesting that the need for such a conversation would parallel the feelings and passions of our Forefathers.
It really turns my stomach. I feel like this Country elected a boy to do a man's job. He panders to whoever happens to be in the room and wants to be everyone's friend. A friend I do not want, I want a President with Values and Virtues. I think watching a sitting President on a Late Night talk show is absurd and gives the impression to the World that we need not be taken seriously. This is not the change I want. I also wish he would move on from complaining like a child about what he inherited and give President Bush the respect he disserves by extending the same courtesy he received by being silent. I will not hold my breath...
Is the website you suggested petitionproject.org? I just found it and it looks promising, I just want to be sure I am at the right place. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the detailed info. I am going to get organized and get started. My kids are in 2 different schools in the same district, so I am pretty sure it is a district wide curriculum. I will admit I am intimidated by the process, but after too many conversations to count with my kids I know it is needed. They are in 5th and 6th grade, so they have many impressionable years left. They love their teachers and thus believe what they teach them. I find myself feeling like I am accusing the teachers of lying, but the kids are convinced they are right.
I am impressed with your commitment, what state are you in? We are in South Eastern Wisconsin. I was wondering if there are already groups like yours locally. I am going to look into it. Thank you Thank you!!
My kids are also being force fed the mainstreem global warming hype at school. We have conversations almost nightly teaching them the truth. The teachers have them convinced they will be the cause of the distruction of the planet. I commend you for your efforts and it has inspired me to make a few phone calls in my district.
