you scratch my back, ill scratch yours
Wow. I think Seattle's gonna pay out on this one. I'm a cop and i can't stand by Clay's actions. He escalated the situation from the start. And the first strike to the back of the head is unjustified, in any stretch of the imagination. The most he could articulate is that the subject was egressive or resistive muscle tension, therefore he could use wristy twisties, taser or OC (in most department's use of force continuums). Yes, he wasn't responding to commands, but those commands were given quickly and were different than the initial command to put his hands on the car. If he had started with a lower level of force, THEN the subsequent level two strikes would have been justified (lower levels of force were not working, etc, etc).
I vote that if the ACLU has such a problem with it, how bout we change the law to allow these monsters to interact with their kids online. Bet they wouldn't have an issue with banning them from the internet after that...
the sad fact of the matter is, we the people in some shape or form voted this into LAW. We said "we don't just want pedestrians running around in the middle of the street because it makes traffic a bitch" and gave law enforcement the authority to stop said persons that jaywalk and ticket them. I haven't got one jaywalking ticket in my entire life. Know how I avoided it? It's really simple. I dont JAYWALK. I got to the cross walk, wait for the light, and then cross the street. EVERYONE KNOW THAT. It's simple. Instead, asshats decide that law doesn't apply to them because they're god's gift to life and HOW DARE THAT OFFICER STOP ME. Absolutely amazing...
Very well...then don't bitch when you can't drive anywhere because people are walking in the road. Good luck with that Seattle...lmfao
"I apologize to the media and everyone else for not being able to talk," Reardon said. "But I thought it was appropriate that I don't say anything to interfere with their investigation." - Politician speak for "If I say anything, I'll incriminate myself".
Oh, and when on God's green earth does a suspect get to dictate to the police what they are going to ask him? Cause that sounds like GREAT police work (sarcasm, if you hadn't guessed). Scheduling conflicts my hairy white ...
Bigger than my boat too. I was on the Chicago. Man this new boat is huge in comparison
Two of the more notorious north county burglars. Why am i not surprised. Dear prosecutor, can we keep them in jail this time please?
the problem is, most are. Most agencies keep a surplus stock of cars should the unavoidable happen...either work related damage or the cars miling out. Most agencies will either sell the cars at auction to try and recupe some of the monies put into them and some are part of a lease program. Think of the amount of drive time that these cars go through and itll make sense. Most of these cars only last a few years. Same with taxis. I'm driving a 2007 CVPD and its about to mile out and I get to take mine home. "Pool" cars (ie, where the agency doesn't allow their officers to take their cars home and the cars are part of a pool) are sometimes run 24/7. That's not good on the car and tends to shorten the cars life span. This article doesn't surprise me.
