I think I'll take the proven economists' claims that Newt's plan will work over an analysis by CNN Money.
Just a hunch on my part.

My understanding of the usefulness of EXIM is that a foreign company, that is vetted by a US lender, that qualifies under the terms set forth by EXIM, is offered an opportunity to buy US manufactured goods for export only. Now, if that foreign company defaults, the US Government has treaty s in place that allow for the recovery of the goods or capital through an expedited channel. The EXIM policy is an insurance policy in the case of default such that the lender and the manufacturer are guaranteed 90% of the sale. If there is a default, they eat 10% between the two of them.
And yes, I can see the crony corporatism at work but EXIM, IMO, seems to be a useful entity when operated properly.

Nobody here believes you have no 'rights'. You are free to do whatever you wish. Until it infringes upon the happiness and rights of others. Just as the rest of us have to, there are rules to follow. You see, you cannot 'force' people to accept you. You cannot 'force' the church to marry you. You can however, here in CA and in many other states, get a license for a civil union. And, you may even get partner/spousal benefits.
But do not expect that your 'sexual orientation' requires the majority of the country to bow down to the demands of less than 5% of the overall population.

This is a point with which I take issue in regards to RP and those who steadfastly support his campaign.
1) How do you claim that RP has 'anything close to a perfect record'? Yes, he does vote according to constitutional guidelines, but perfect or near perfect?
2) How does RP get Fed Funding for his district and not ever vote Aye for any appropriations or pork funding? That seems impossible ......
Mind you, that I do agree with RP on about 40% of his message.

That is a point I bring up with my RP friends. That is, in almost 30 years, he is still the lone wolf. If you do not agree with him, then you are not his ally. Notice that when he does have an alliance, that it is short lived? Only for a piece of infrequent legislation. Further, how does one survive being a politician for almost 30 years and not become that which everyone despises?
