lawsuits are quite easy to start. In fact i think half of New York city works for a law firm. All kidding aside, even if he isn't, what's the problem? I'm sure the requirement was written in the constitution to be protectionist, and at the time, particularly against the British, or any other honest immigrant.

Can you remember what you were taught about the great depression? Those people didn't cause it, but they definitely felt it. That is why there is medicaid, welfare, unemployment insurance. So people have something to fall back on in a time of need.
Reform them, sure. Corruption and abuse always needs to be stopped. Stopping them will just put your fellow citizens in peril. Who knows, you may lose your job tomorrow. Maybe you can take care of yourself (filthy rich), or maybe you live check to check...I don't know.
I for one don't mind supporting a social sdafety net for others that are not as fortunate as me (I think helping others may be one of the Principles). For the record, I'm a successful Engineer who has never had the misfortune of needing welfare (I did grow up in a lower middle class family).

JABBEN. I agree with the natural cycle theory you are stating (truth, really). But as a scientist, you know that the level of industrialization and pollution that we have today, is unprecedented in history. If you take a simple example of smog, which is created by industry (unless I'm wrong), its obvious that that causes health issues and blocks the sun from the ground when/where it occurs. Now I know that's not an exact correlation to "warming", but you cannot deny that we have an effect.

Remember those who argued that the earth was flat? or that the sun revolved around the earth?

We tend not to care about anything that doesn't affect us, at this moment, or doesn't affect our family.
I'm not saying there is conclusive proof that it's manmade, or not. The point is, it's not a conspiracy, it's science at work in early stages. Things will develop and more will be learned from it. But we cannot dismiss it and say we are not going to study the issue.
Doesn't hurt anyone to be more energy efficient. $20 per tank vs $50. one example of easy math.

I don't have any problem with law abiding, civilized people having guns. I do. But, I still don't see the logic in having assault rifles. The Revolution is 200+ yrs ago. We have established a government that has to answer to the people. I know that can change, but America is run by populists that run on ratings. that's the safest form of government there is.
And, having an assault rifle in your possession will never stop a foreign invader....not that that is in any way in the foreseeable future.

I agree with EPEE that using illegal workers AND working outside the system (using citizens), called "under the table", loweres wages for everyone else.
I think we have to enforce employment laws. If the companies that hire illegal workers were questioned/checked whatever, more often, then you could reduce the problem. Remember: There is someone hiring these people and they are also breaking the law (and stealing from the people). I listened to to O'Reilly's replacement (forget her name), mention something about a quick Online check you can do to see if workers are legal. I agree with that, but ARE ALL OF THESE EMPLOYERS INNOCENT?
The other thing that must be realized by all, illegal workers keep prices artificially low. IF workers were legally hired (regardless of nationality), employers would have to pay legal minimums. Prices would go up.
I think we need to realize and accept that prices will go up (slightly, I'm not sure) because we need a fair and balanced tax collection sytem from goods produced/business carried out. This ultimately should lower THE HONEST PERSON's burden.
