EVERYTHING OBAMA IS DOING IS IN THE MANIFESTO OF THE COMMUNITY(ism) PARTY. I challenge everyone here who hasn't done so to read it (I had to in a Philosophy class, so all of you need to suffer too ; ) ).
Are we too afraid to call a spade...A SPADE?

I've worked around demo for a long time and you are forgetting one very inportant rule...and that is gravity. When anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is subjected to the trauma that those buildings were subjected to, and structural weakness takes it's toll...gravity will do the rest.
My demo training or combat operations didn't teach me this...working as a volunteer firefighter did.
Make sure you have all of your facts in a row before you start spewing garbage.
OUT.

I do think we've lost our way with the notion of an honest days wage.

Why is it so hard for us to build durable goods in the US these days? Is it too much regulation? Cost of employing workers? Lawsuits? I don't get it...

In an earlier post I stated that "WE" should host regional "Continental Congresses" (yes the name because the govt doesn't work for us anymore nor care about our grievances....King George "Soros" now runs the White House, yada-yada etc.)
I think we could get a lot accomplished over one weekend in lets say Aug 2009. Here's the way I see this going down:
Find a meeting place that is neutral but can accommodate enough people (hotel conference facility, etc.) - maybe in Atlanta.
DAY 1
8:00 - Introductions
9:00 to 12:00 - Break-out sessions for State issues (elect reps to speak for the group and identify the TOP 5 issues for your respective States)
12:00 to 1:00 - Lunch
1:00 to 1:30 - Announce each State's "delegates"
1:30 to 4:30 - Consolidation and Stratification of State's issues into Regional Top 5 issues
5:00 - Adjourn for the day
