Hi, we corresponded last year about my adventures with VCAT & MPBV. __I was reading "The Right to Silence: An Examination of the Issues__(Issues Paper), June 1998", (Vic Parliament). It stated that the right to silence applied to answering questions from **anyone in authority**. It further made the point that any adverse inference on exercising that right made the right meaningless. (Petty v R (1991) 173 CLR 95). Does this not apply to disciplinary tribunals? __Another point... does failing to appear amount to exercising one's right to silence?__
