Have friends in the military that grow stone faced in the presence of any political discussions, in private they admit to being told by their commanding officers that they are to refrain from denigrating discussions whose topic surrounds their commander in chief. What's amusing is this command was absent during any past president's term.

The other elephant in the room is the union, as long as they have their hooks in the government sector they'll pull the entire ship down before they'll negotiate a sane solution. Moving those pensions into private accounts and terminating the ridiculous perks will move us a long way to recovering. The government needs to model its operation after a small business.

The problem is that they need to practice the same restraint with tazers as they do with their guns. Watch any of the cops shows and its the first thing officers draw at ANY sign of resistance. The assumption is that the use of the tazer is non-lethal and probably would have been if these officers had used disciplined methods of subduing a combative individual.

yep, have an uncle that was exactly like a 99er. He turned down employment simply because it didn't fit his perfect mold of what he thought his next job should be. He was pissed when he discovered I was against the unemployment benefits extensions. He said I was taking food off his table but I pointed out he was doing that by not taking a job.
