I was thinking all along, that he was fairly intelligent. Then I read about him using a hatchet on the boys, and thought, what kind of idiot thinks a hatchet will easily kill even a child, before a gasoline fueled fire will.

If those hatchet blows were in the face, to cause dental records to be of no use and bodies burned to a crisp, maybe he plotted a way out.

Good one... point out the alcohol, but ignore the past history of assault, drugs, prostitution, and theft at the hands of both parties.

Yup, just make that alcohol harder to get and these 2 model citizens would have never been in this situation, right? Is that the point you are trying to make?

My High School Law teacher told us, if you ever end up killing someone, use a car and you will only be found guilty of manslaughter.

Reminds me of the crash on Lake City Way a month or so ago. The psycho rammed the car at full speed, killing both people, had done the same thing just 3 years ago and never spent a day in jail for it.

Personally, I'm writing Burger King to inform them of my choice to do business at places that will not call 911 on their paying customers.

Wendy's is looking better and better these days.

I could cite several studies that show regular users adequately compensate their driving habits to offset the slowed reaction times.

Such is the difference between alcohol and weed. You still make logical choices when you're stoned.

These guys were just dumb. And the BK employee should be fired for violating his customer's privacy. It's just bad business.

Also, the case will be dismissed in a heartbeat. There is no way a search, resulting from a fast food worker's suspicion/interpretation, is going to be considered probable cause (assuming a warrant wasn't obtained).

Neither the Republican Party, nor the Democratic Party will allow their representatives to do such a thing. To do so, would be campaign contribution suicide from the pharmaceutical companies.

kodiak, I doubt jcman was speaking specifically of officers, but rather the departments themselves, along with the prosecutor's and public defender's offices. They certainly receive larger budgets (even if not from confiscations), simply to investigate and prosecute MJ related cases.

From a management standpoint, it means more business.

Ya, we can totally see there was no way around (or over) those protesters sitting on the ground.

It's just the standard police line: "for the safety of our officers..."

Why do the police need to force them off the sidewalk anyway? Just ignore them and you won't get plastered all over the internet assaulting peaceful people.

"Children's services had a referral on the family in September 2009, but it was unable to substantiate any allegations"

It certainly seems to me, all they needed to do was take a look at the poor kid.

This just shows, no matter how many checks and balances you put into our system, some lazy bottom feeder will find a way to get paid way too much for not working.

But increasing the number and size of the stores that do sell it, will in effect increase the selection to the consumer.

If it passes, we'll have Costco's huge selection, in addition to the choices Safeway and Fred Meyer will carry.. all within less driving distance than the current single shop's selection.

You just can't seem to come up with good reasons not to make it a free-market.
