it has been emphisised many times that he was travelling on a persanal capacity and not on behalf of the allaince party .
people have a right to boycott whatever they like , if you don't have Israeli avocados in your house that's up to you . but if you intimidate shop owners to a point where they are afraid to stock Israeli goods or stop me from gaining knowledge from an Israeli academic , then it becomes my business and you are taking away my rights . the tactics of bullying artists and musicians until they cancel trips to Israel is pure thuggish behavior and I doubt it does the Prospect of peace or indeed the Palestinian people any favours . BAN THE BOYCOTT !!!!!!
catch yourself on . that really is what Mr Myers was talking about the crazy obsession with Israel taking away reason . think about it . The Arab Spring has nothing to do with Israel it doesnt and thousands of people are being killed for seeking what Israel has - a safe democracy . Israel should be used as an example of how things can work in the middle East and that includes unfortuanatly (sometimes) full freedom of press , making it the only country in the region open to internal critisism and full exposure of almost anything that happens . most of the Media in the whole region are based in Jerusalem as it is safe . that is the only reason you hear more about Israel then anywhere else . well that and the fact that people are killed for telling the truth elswhere . why not send a Flo/flytilla to Damascus or Tripoli ?
Israel have been trying to hand over the west bank for years , it is the other side who refused to accept the offer . until the Palistinian people want their own country more then they want Israel destroyed it will happen . the west bank costs money and puts Israeli young soldiers at risk . no one will have a problem with giving it back if peace is promised.
it is blinding everyone to everything else that is happening.
even if it is a choice so what it is ours to make and who said one choice is better then the other ?
we are all created in G-Ds image , G-D created some people who are gay . he/she didnt have a problam with it , why should human beings . a loving G-D can live at complete peace with diversity , do you not think he/she has better things to deal with , like how we treat each other and how we contribute to the world then who we love :)
The festival don’t even have to show any thing over pro Israeli , I would settle for anything that suggests that Israel has a right to exist , it may not have been the right way to do it but someone needed to say something the bias is ridicules, I am surprised that people involved with the arts are not more in favour of this challenge.
and the first thing Hamas did was ban further elections , I cant point at the people though who were so scared to vote for anyone else .
