Do not forget Najib and Zahid Hamidi may also be asked to testify in a French court over the submarine bribery scandal. SUARAM had submitted their names in Paris. Just ask Cynthia Gabriel. If he refuses to go would there be an Interpol alert? Or would he be a wanted man in the EU including the United Kingdom? The world is round. Where to run?
I always follow Eric Paulsen's statements over many issues and he strikes me as someone who articulates his views well. However, on this particular subject, he was just making a wild and irresponsible statement. As a Muslim, I seldom miss my Friday prayers, like most other Muslims in this country, and never once have I come across an imam who delivered sermons that are inciteful and provocative. On the contrary, the congregation are constantly reminded about the dos and donts as prescribed by Allah, and they could become better Muslims. As a non Muslim Eric Paulsen does not attend Friday prayers and how on earth he came to the conclusion JAKIM had been promoting extremism through Friday prayers is most bewildering. The list of JAKIM's sermons are available on its website. Eric Paulsen's statement was just dumb.
Investigate Zahid lah instead. Ask him to explain his links and relationship with the underworld and the reasons for his letter to the FBI.
Zahid is an embarassment to the country. His case is an obvious abuse and misuse of his position. Anwar languished in jail for six years for a lesser offence. The only decent thing for Zahid to do is to resign as minister.
Rafizi is not a superman. He does not have the magic wand that he can wave to solve the country's problems, which are too many. But at least he has the guts and the stamina to dig up a lot of the abuses and corrupt ways of the BN government to put them constantly on their toes and under scrutiny. We should thank him and his fearless colleagues and team for that. Thank you Rafizi.
She was the CEO of MBI. She was also a beneficiary of payout. Did she mislead the board that the payment was in order? Clear cut of conflict of interest. Just return the money.
Somebody drafted the letter, whispered some magic words into his ears, and Zahid dutifully signed the letter without being bothered about the implications of the action, like he always does when he opens his mouth without using his head. He should be investigated like China's powerful former chief of security, Zhou Yongkang, who was detained on allegations of misconduct, without fear or favour.
Get the passenger manifest which should show who traveled on the aircraft as this has insurance implications in the event of any claims.
Good move. With these kinds of payments, a line has to be drawn as they involve public funds. Otherwise, a bad precedent could be set with unscrupulous people helping themselves at the treasury knowing they are on the way out and no action would be taken.
Why not? Seven of the G25 are former ambassadors/high commissioners who once proudly flew the Malaysian (not BN or UMNO) flag when overseas either on their cars or at their missions and residences. The PR secured 53 % of the popular votes during GE 13 and also rightly represent the people. If the G25 are allergic to meeting the PR for fear of being branded, then they would only hear the UMNO part of the story and end up with not even half of the solution.
