It's not stealing content or pretending it's their own. Most are simply sharing links to articles. Just as you would if you copied and pasted the url and shared on Facebook. It's no different.

Great post Meredith. I think all of us in church world and out put the cart before the horse. I'm definitely guilty of this.

Good stuff.. Question.. I've played with this theme before but couldn't get the Flickr feed to work and couldn't get the UBD google ads to go away.. How did you do that?

As always good stuff Paul!!! I think too many people just see the ROI or $$ when it comes to Facebook. Sure that can be your ultimate goal but if you're just puking on people all the time they'll eventually hit the Hide button..

Love it! I have been doing a similar campaign for my businesses fan page. There was a family in my hometown that had their 2 year old son died in a house fire. The dad went into the fire and pulled out the 2 year old and his 4 year old and nearly lost his life doing it. He is recovering still, the 4 year old is doing great, but they are grieving the loss of their 2 year old. Such a sad story. Both parents are school teachers and outstanding Christians in the community I grew up in. The cool thing is the small community has raised probably over $300k in less than a month to help cover expenses!! Amazing.. I started a fan page for the community to aid in communicating and supporting the family: http://www.facebook.com/OneCommunitySupportingThe...

What I'm doing is for every 100 fans we get for our business page we'll donate $25 to the family. So far it has grown about 400 fans since we announced the fundraiser!! So excited for the family..

I'd love anyone of ourchurch to go be a fan: http://www.facebook.com/IQTRANSPORT

Love the new look!!! So did you have to buy the theme for each of your sites? Or just once?
