It's really sickening to think that I (a self appointed BB rights advocate) could have fallen into these "plus" traps. If I can be fooled into thinking *that's* what plus looks like, anyone can. Also, there is a discussion board about this very subject on the supposed curvy women's Facebook is quite interesting. One size 12 model feels unrepresented and entitled to be a model under the plus size name. The group just sent out a letter to the members (yes, I'm still a member. I can't complain about it to them if I'm not in the group) that says basically like it or lump it, the "Plus Size Models and Curvy Women Fan Club" is about the INDUSTRY standards of modeling. So, for those of you who like a size 8 representing you, I'd say join in! You can be a fan of a curvy size 10! Woot. As for me? Eff size 12's and eff the group that is towing the fashion industries wholly unfair and damaging image of us.
I, as always, am so proud of you!

I guess becuase of my body type I had no issues with it and was very VERY good at yoga. It was super fun to watch the skinny women in that class get pissed off because I could do it better, with more fluidity and grace than they could. HA! I say skinny womens. HA!
I think you have a lovely concept and it is unfolding itself beautifully. No doubt in my mind of its success or it's originalitly. I heart the blog!
Hells to the yeah! Looooooove the dog tags and the hippos! Wonderful!
It should be on everyone's to-do list: Love Theyself. Why go thorugh life another minute not being totally at peace and in love with yourself.
I wish that they would have put some emphasis on activity level and diet vs weight. I believe that a thin person who chooses to be a couch potato is far more likely to develop high BP, diabetes and cholesterol issues than a BB who eats well and excercises. Why isn't that the statement? Rather than, well they're still at risk. Grr. Although, I will have to start following both of those wonderful BBs. They rock!
You are very welcome, new friend Ms. Benoir. I heard her on MTV about a year ago, but paid her no mind. I liked the song but felt very ho-hum about her. THEN I ran across her the internet and caught that Dylan cover. PRICELESS!! Plus? She's plus!
