This might be more useful after your first year when you'll know more people, but resist the urge to live with your best friend(s). That doesn't mean squashing the urge completely, but at least ask yourselves basic lifestyle stuff like lights, cleaning, noise levels, and sleep cycles.

(I had friends who survived foolishly living together by literally putting string down halfway through their room and never crossing it. I also had friends whose friendship didn't survive living together. Please don't make yourself live this way if you don't have to.)

I don't really understand how tying gun access to not being on the no-fly list would ever hold up in court. Are they trying to do TRAP-style things where they put unconstitutional restrictions in place, knowing they'll be stricken down, just to make it practically difficult to exercise a theoretical right?
