So I can pretty much point to the exact second that my heart shattered into a million pieces. After Fauxlivia has taken the shot and Blue!Lincoln emerges and asks if everyone is okay, before we even got to the officer down bit, it suddenly clicked in brain what the entire episode had been building to. And I then proceeded to sob my way through the next ten minutes.
I fell completely in love with Red!Lincoln over the course of season three, especially during Bloodline, but really long before that. Not to mention Red!Lincoln and Fauxlivia being my number one ship on the show (I love Polivia, but as I say, Bloodline killed me). I never really felt that connection with Blue Lincoln. I liked him, and I've been feeling sorry for him a lot recently, but he's just not the Lincoln that made me love the character, and he's somehow not as attractive to me (emphasis on the "as", it is still Seth Gabel after all).
So I have lots of questions, about where Gene came from, what was up with the USSR poster, why alt-Broyles is such a jerk, but I can't bring myself to care about any of it, because Lincoln is gone. (And as much as I want him back I will feel a little cheated if it's a fakeout.)
