The men and women of the armed forces, my best friends son-inlaw died 7/23 in Afganistan here is a clip from a local newspaper:
Saturday family and friends came together to mourn the loss of Marine Lance Corporal Jeremy Lasher.
Lasher's younger brother, Marine Lance Corporal Ryan Lasher was one of the last to speak. He said his only comfort is knowing one day he will see his big brother again.
"The next time that we will meet is when I walk up to you at the gates of heaven. I will salute you and tell you that you are relieved of your post and I will take your spot and until that day, you will never be forgotten and you will always be missed."
Many who spoke at the funeral, vowed to share their memories of Lasher with his 1 1/2 year old son, Caden. They said they wanted to make sure the little boy always knew who his father was and how he lived his life.
These young men and women are the Great Americans without which the United States would not be Great!
