I am trying to put together a video collage where people send in a 5 to 20 second clip Describing something about themselves and then using the ending tagline " And I am the American voice". Such as "I worked 12 hrs today at 2 diffrent jobs just to make ends meet and I am the American voice." Or "I educate our children and I am the American voice." I just need a few more to complete it and it will be ready. If anyone is interested in being a part of it please send your clips to ddogert@yahoo.com. with our help I hope to be finished by the end of the week.

I understand the frustration, but we can't keep blaming Washington for what's happening. We need to stand up and take responsibility. We've known for years that politicans were corrupt, but we've sat with our heads in the sand hoping it would get better. We've went on with our lives voting in people not because we felt they would stand up for us, but because we thought they're the lesser of two evils. We helped create this monster and now look to blame anyone but ourselves. We complain, but only a few choose to try. It reminds me of a person told by his doctor "You have cancer. You have two choices you can either sit back and let it slowly kill you, and it will, or we can fight it vigorusly and try and defeat it." That's where we are now. Like the cancer patient what we choose will define who we are. We need to vote in people we trust and stay vigilant that they work for us. We need to fight legislation we don't agree with as a group. There won't be a fast fix. It will be a long hard battle, but ask anyone that has had cancer and survived if it was quick and easy. I know as Americans we can do this.

As I've said before I believe we need to start in our communities so im starting a committee here to help the families of soldiers in our area. I've opened a savings account which will be used to help these families but I don't think that just giving them money is how to help so an top of that the committee will work with local businesses to provide jobs for the husbands and wives who have spouses serving overseas. We will work to find affordable daycare for those who can't work because they can't afford daycare. When these soldiers return we will work to find then jobs. We here believe that our troops and their families should get priority over Illegals. through constructive imput we are hoping to expand our services in the future. Now I know that some people don't like that but we are not doing it to win favor we are doing it because we believe it's the right thing to do. I hope others feel the same way.

Let me first say that if you have covered this already then my apologies for being behind. I work nights so I have to tivo and watch the next day. What is up with the army going into Sampson Alabama to assume the roll of the police force? I don't like to appear to be a conspiracy theorist but could it be that this was a test by our government. There are a lot of unhappy people in America right now. Maybe their gearing up and they were testing the waters with this one to see our reactions. Just a thought

Who, besides me, is getting tired of everyone being politically correct and saying people shouldn't be talking about how doom and gloom things are in this country because your going to panic the people. Hello look around it's already happening and trying to calm American's fears isn't working or helping. We need people who are going to stand up and say he this is how it and this is what we should be doing. I remember when I was growing up hard times made us stronger. They made us stand together and appreciate what we had. They made us stand up and take responsibility to change our situation. It seams today that there are to many people standing around saying the Gov. will bail us out and if they don't we're doomed because we can't do it on our own. That is why I am thankful for this site. I believe most people here are the type that are willing to take on that challenge.

With this AIG thing I think the Obama admin. is postering. From what I understand Obama was a main recipient of campaign contributions from AIG. I also heard that legally there is nothing that can be done about the bonuses. I think the bonuses were put in with their knowledge for the contributions made. Then the American people caught wind of the bonuses so his admin. knew they had to do something. I think they told AIG don't worry nothing can be done but we have to look like we're doing something then went on T.V. ranting that they knew nothing about it, but would make sure there were no bonuses. In a few months they will tell the people legally there is nothing they can do about it but they tried. He will say, just like he did about the pork in the omnibus bill, "but it won't happen again and the people will say well at least he tried. That's my take on it.

I know here in my community we are looking at people here that can help lead. I know what direction I want this country to go in but I also realize I don't have the talent to lead as some do. We are trying to change our government here and select people we know we can trust to represent us. We are also staying current on national issues but I believe that if we change what is happening in our own backyards we can groom representatives to speak out for our values. I believe in honesty and integrity and I feel most politicians did to at one time but, as they were left unchecked coruption got the better of them and there was no one to make sure they stayed on track. I think that it is our responsibility to see they do. We are hammering our local reps. right now and trying to move people we know are good Americans into position to represent us in this area. Our goal is to eventually move them into a state position or a national position. Gov. Palin is a prime example of this. Like her or not she started alot like the candidates we want are starting.

I am trying to get together with people in my area. I live in Shasta County in California. For those of you that live in California you know full well all the problems here. I am trying to connect so we can start planning action first at a local level and then state and hopefully nationally. I feel, like most, if we can gain control of our own communities we can grow and gain control nation wide. If you are in my area go to papoagladiators.blogspot.com. So we can start changing our community and then branch out as so many others are doing. Come on Shasta County time to start pracicing what we preach.

I understand your concern. Right now I am mainly trying to connect with people in my area (northern California Shasta County area). I guess I should have made that clear. Grass roots start in your community and branches out. My site allows us in this area to receive information in our area without having to sift through everthing else. We will still stay connected to this site. By no means am I trying to pull people from this site to mine.

I hear a lot of people getting all fired up about changing what our society is becoming. There is fire in their bellies and hunger in their hearts. Unfortunately very few of us now how to go about it. Well I say it’s time to figure it out. You know Officer Luttrell said on Glenn Beck, after losing his entire unit he crawled into a village. The people of this village took him in. Tended to him and kept him safe all while the Taliban sat outside trying to get to him. The village refused to give him up because they believed once taken in by them you were their responsibility. They would fight even to the death to insure his safety. I say we need that kind of commitment in America. I believe in the strength of our goodness, I believe you do too. I believe the majority love this nation and would be willing to defend how our forefathers intended it to be. Now I’m not some radical (that’s for the crazy leftists), but what I am talking about is standing together and voicing how we feel. Standing back to back to defend what we believe in.
