I don't think a Taser would have been excessive force.

Sorry, I was out for the rest of the day. Comment moderation is pretty much required on the Interwebs these days. While I disagree with your opinion, I'm glad you have the chance to voice it in a respectful and appropriate manner. Thanks!

I couldn't agree more James. Volunteering her time for any number of charities would have been more heroic than this self-serving publicity stunt. But I'm sure she'll start a Facebook Group, get a lot of followers, and they'll spend the next several months talking amongst themselves about how they've changed the world. Whatever.

If there's evidence (other than anecdotal) then somebody should be punished.

Well, I don't think even the most hardcore CPC attack goons would have seen him pulling this move off *this* fast! The week of the election isn't even over and he's already accepted a job in academia! I'm guessing that ever Liberal that voted Conservative is saying "whew"!

LOL. The best part is he'll brainwash a bunch of UofT Liberals into believing all the same garbage that got the Liberals into this mess their in. I'm sure he won't even touch on where he went wrong, because it was all those mean Harper attack ads (which, incidently, were true).

I would simply argue that it's no different than a person making the same phone call and hanging up after delivering their message. The fact that it's a recorded message rather than a live one, wouldn't make much of a difference in my opinion.

After this election, I think more than ever there needs to be a "none of the above" option added to the ballot.

Please explain how you're negative emphasis on leadership is any better than positive emphasis.

What you're saying is that you'd knowingly vote for a less than ideal party, and thus lackluster policy, just because you "disapprove" of the leader that has the best policy. What Tessier is basically saying is that she voted NDP just because she liked Layton (and one would assume she thinks that the NDP have the best policy). She may be voting in ignorance, but what you're saying is that you actively voted against what you knew would be better for Canada, simply out of some personal grudge.

Ya, it's clearly a massive nation-wide conspiracy so skillfully put together and pulled off that there's not a shred of evidence left behind. While Iggy was playing Checkers, Layton was playing Chess, Harper was building robots to destroy his Liberal opponents. Clearly, the Media is in the bag for the CPC or they'd have this all over the front pages.

"Harper's robot's lied, Liberal MP's died"!
