I'm gad the beholders were well received, gentlemen. I wasn't sure how well that encounter would go.

If I had to do it again I'd run a few details slightly different, but I accomplished what I hoped to do ... and got to introduce some special uber-badies into the campaign in the bargain! :)

Glad you folks are enjoying the feel!

There's a few things on hindsight I'd do slightly differently, but that "uncertainty" is something I'm striving for. I greatly prefer "what *are* those dirty grey humanoids?" to "Oh, that ghoul just exploded when brought to 0 HP ... it must have been a ghast."

Thank you for the (too) kind review! I'm glad you enjoyed the adventure. Here's a tidbit: The hanging lantern in the second sewer section was originally intended to be a will o' wisp!

It works well for tournament use and clear by-room point scoring is provided.
Yeah, I can't even imagine doing D3 tourney style ... unless, visit Black Tower = you lose, otherwise if the PCs survive you win. ;)

A number of attic games ended up in the closet ... including the mentioned Civilization, and I've got Napoleon in Europe and Tenjo kicking around too. Eventually I'll have to get real and make an attic box.

Revolt sounds cool ... reminds me of the Steve Jackson O.G.R.E. type games I played as a kid.
