Every American must have a financial stake in voting for taxes or government expansion. We have worked to remove more and more Americans from the tax rolls and the result is a huge percentage of American voters who have no financial stake in voting to raise other people's taxes or increase the size of government programs. Taxes are increasingly targeting one class of American so that what they earn can be given to another class of Americans.
I don't know how to do it, but if we don't find a dissincentive for Americans to vote higher taxes for others, then nothing else is going to save us.

Americans who are capable of putting aside their adoration of Obama are beginning to see the real man behind the curtain. They are seeing the disconnect between the words they heard and believed and the actions this president has taken in his first 50+ days in the White House. Unfortunately, their gullibility has given the radical left 2 years to remake America, unless moderate and conservative Democrats reign in this insanity. All the right can do is educate the ignorant and misinformed, but it is Democrats who are the only people who can save America.

In reality, though, the cost of producing oil in America isn't cost-effective because of our higher standard of living. If oil was to rise to $100 a barrel and was to stay there, then production in America would be profitable. The goal should be to keep oil cheap, while preserving our reserves until we need them. But this administration is now working to give up our reserves, and make them permanently off-limits, while nations like China buy up oil rights all over the world.
Michael Savage is known for his phrase, "liberalism is a mental disorder." In reality, it's hard to argue that he's wrong when you see how self-destructive the left is. And no one can doubt it after their efforts to surrender in Iraq and turn their calls for defeat into reality.
