July 2nd-4th we should all go to Washington. Prior to this we should all be sending hand written letters to the supreme court justices petitioning them to act in a review fashion of the recent actions of congress that are unconstitutional. On the state level we should be writing our state houses letting them know that we are watching them. If your state has an open primary (both D and R can vote for either party's person) that this should be changed. This is why McCain won the primary...Dems crossed over to vote him as the Republican's choice when he was not on the grass roots level.

Picking up books on canning would be a good suggestion as well. Chances are things will really hit the fan come late fall in through the winter. Everyone remember the tale of the ant and the grasshopper? The time is now to prepare for the worst...especially while the dollar has value to buy the things you will need when/if the bottom drops out in the economy.

I haven't seen this one on the wish list yet - I haven't read all of them yet though - sorry If I am repeating something. I wish we could have one day to vote in the primary. Every state votes in the primary the same day - Iowa, New Hampshire, etc.... too bad, you don't get an "early" primary. I think that by the time some people get to vote in the primary, they don't bother because the drive by media has already picked the parties nominees.

Mike thanks for your service. Our tactics to counter this insurgency on our constitution and government cannot be posted here. Their tactics are simple, using a boxing analogy, they jab-duck-fake-jab. We have all seen the rythm by now! Next time they duck we hit them with an upper cut! I believe that there is one branch of our government that has not been heard from yet. With the other two branches acting outside the constitution we must write the Supreme Court. Do not call, do not email but hand written letters must be sent. If that fails God help us. I used to be a pretty good chess player. To be a good player you have to see 3 moves ahead, to be a great player you have to see 5 moves ahead. The president and Nancy and Harry have their moves all planned out, the wild card is us. They are blinded by ambition and power and THAT is their weakness.

Respect is earned it is not demanded. Our elected officials (insert public servants here) should be held to 2-term limits. Our constitution and its authors intended for common folks like us to serve in the House and return home to continue farming/shoe making/shop keeping ect. The only 'career politicians' during the time of our founding were called your majesty. Their pay scale I have no problem with as long as they are truely representing us (ie doing their job). What I do not agree with is their receiving that pay for the rest of their life and the fact that they can vote themselves a raise.

I agree! I might add that they should consider budgeting in DC like they would at home. You have to know how much your bringing home before you know on what and how much to spend! Right now I see congress with about 10,000,000 credit cards all maxed out and they have just applied for 10,000,000,000 more...next month I guess they'll try to up their limit on the whole lot of them. This insanity must stop NOW.
