Wonderful idea! Make the people , who hate Tories and will never vote for them , happy and at the same time upset our own voters. Vaccinate our population then use the aid budget to donate to poor countries around the world , not the EU.

The Church of England is turning it's back on the working class with its lefty , woke nonsense. Just as the Labour party is becoming a middle class organisation so is the church. Alienating half the population ensures both organisations will not survive long term.

Please stop virtue signalling with our money. If you're that keen let's see you set up a standing order and give some of your money.

It makes a huge difference , the seller has the money coming in to pay the tax and the buyer doesn't have to find the stamp duty , a great help if they are struggling to find a deposit. As for increasing the price - market forces would dictate if this was possible.

What revenue would be raised by 5% property sales tax? People selling would have the means to pay and it would prevent purchasers having to find the stamp duty on top of their deposit. It could be implemented over five years rising 1% per year with gradual reduction of other taxes in lock step over the five years.
