Bub bye.

Thanks KATU for the awesome photo of HWJ associated with this article.

Yeah...it's pretty easy to see whose winning based on income (regardless of whether they work or not), the unemployment figures, buying power, education, whose being bailed out, the cost of fuel...etc. It surely isn't the American worker that has brought this assault but they have suffered because they are undefended.

That level of accountabiltiy should be the norm. All police evidence should be readily available to any interested party.

There are countless occasions where police conveniently loose evidence because it harms their prosecution or is an embarrassment even against court order. On the other hand; the cops will conduct fully public "perp-walks" to bias the public against the accused.

The system is broken and allows police too much power to harm innocent people without accountability for their actions. Society...the will of the people...to whom these public servants are accountable should expect better.

Right legalization does no good. Chicago became such a wonderful place during prohibition that the FBI was created just to deal with the new burgeoning crime wave build on the huge criminal profits supplying a prohibited product.

Of course, that problem...the great profitability of criminal organizations supplying alcohol... was only solved by the repeal of prohibition not by the FBI or any law enforcement activity but it took another 50 years for the FBI coordinating with various other law enforcement agencies to break the back of organized crime that came-of-age during that prohibition.

Nah...you smeared the whole crop with decades old propaganda that has been proven false by validated research and data. Tell me...exactly how is it; based on your ascertain that Marijuana is a gateway drug that inevitability leads to every other drug that there is not a corresponding "epidemic" of Heroine, LSD, and Cocaine use that correlates directly to the common use of marijuana by millions of people in the United States. Considering that the 80% of high school student are commonly exposed or experiments with Marijuana about 16 years of age; where are the millions of teenage heroine junkies. Particularly, if Marijuana is THE gateway then all those casual or chronic users would certainly create a huge 'echo' demand for all of the other subsequent drugs that you suggest; heroine, LSD, Cocaine...resulting in huge trafficking, large quantities shipped across the nation, big busts, and huge headlines.

Please, address this question, backup your statements with proof, and set the record straight. You have condescended to every poster here by your "grown-up" perspective and you superior knowledge on the subject; therefore, please back your claims and personal superiority or kindly S*T*F*U with your simple ignorance. Thanks...I'll look for your response on line.

It's only worth $1.5M after it's harvested and sold, otherwise, to paraphrase Oscar Madison; "now is garbage". What a waste of a potentially fine product at tax payer expense.

You're showing not only your age but that you have bought into that propaganda used to villainize marijuana since 1932. The data proves that to be false but some people are too old to revise their thinking or too programmed to process new data. BTW --- McCarthy lost sorry to burst your bubble but the beats won.

And, I'm absolutely not convinced of your last statement based on your preceding arguments even with the qualifier.
