I don't know about the villains, but I can confirm MLP is not ending. There is a full 26 episode sixth season confirmed and in production.

It's because we didn't do training grounds submissions for the first few episodes, so we've been catching up on the ones we missed before we resurrected the event.

There will be ones for "Bloom and Gloom" and "Tanks for the Memories" coming up sometime this season. Every episode since then we ran the event on the week it aired.
