Here is a list of things that I think we Americans ought to be working on in our States to cure some of our problems.
1. Term limits for all elected positions. Not allowing people to repeat in positions.
2.Restrict lobbying by Companies. It is unconstitutional on its face because the government is “We the People,” not, “we the people and our businesses”. At the very least a business should be restricted to participating at no greater level than an individual can, and a business should be prevented from providing perks for office holders.
3.On all ballots put a slot for “None of the Above” -- If this gets the most votes you have to get some new candidates.

Three points.

One. Our forefathers told us this American Form of government would not work without having Christian leaders and representatives. The reason for this is the importance of character, integrity, morality and servanthood, necessary to serve the public and preserve Liberty and Freedom in an open form of government. Christians have a desire to be a servant, like Christ. They would tend to lead and represent with the best interests of all concerned, i.e. balance their constituents and the Nation’s needs.

Two. The present economic crisis is a symptom of a bigger problem. America has very few Christians in positions of leadership and representation. Current leaders and representatives are more interested in themselves and special interests. They may be professing Christians but not Christians. America, under their stewardship, can go to you know where, and it has.
