DON'T GO ON "CARS.GOV"
Thanks for the advance warning. Watched GB on Friday - AMAZING or should say A - MAZE-ING
What will keep the same trap from Veterans Administration, MEDICARE, or any of the other ones?
Keep the faith and keep up the watch.

You had to REPEAT kindergarden! At least you moved out and up. My Swim Buddy at that cushy navy school on the coast, is a Marine (then 2LT now O-8) never got out and he told me the Corps sent the best and the brightest. The Army just sent the only 2LT they could find stupid enough to volunteer for a 36 week learn-t0-swim class at the country club on Virginia Beach. (Corn-CA was just a glimmer in the eye of the CNO at the time (1967). But, extending for two additional tours in RVN in the boonies was more pleasant than that country club. A long way to say, SEMPER FI, my brother! If that is your pic then we share the same barber. You, maybe by choice.

Unless I've missed something in the last two days - and that's probable given the speed of the march to the abyss - Glen's dog analogy goes to Monday of this week when he explained the threats on his life - serious ones - and his decision to purchase a second German Shepherd and have them trained. He was impressed when his senior puppy ran after the attack trainer upon command but STOPPED in front of the threat (man in a dog bite suit) and watched BECAUSE the threat (guy in dog bite suit / trainer) stopped moving. Then the dog just watched and waited. I believe that is the origin of his Watch Dog / Guard Dog charge to us. That is, to pick an area of interest to us and watch and alert him (GB). We all can't watch everything. But we can work together to watch one thing and as a group keep an eye on everything.

Hang in there y'all. It's Friday - early at 3:00 am but at least it is Friday. Congress does not meet on Saturday - officially. I've got to go to work. The late shift on the streets is a challenge.
God bless,

Let's try this Clarion Call: C A L L I N G A L L S E N I O R S
Check out POPCORN's post above (or somewhere in this maze) about the Health Care Bill and the "little conversation" the government wants to have with all seniors about how they can perhaps speed up their final days in order to help reduce costs. He quotes chapter and verse. MY ISSUE - other than support - IS WHY IN HELL THE AARP IS NOT UP IN ARMS. May I suggest that ALL SENIORS and those who plan to become Seniors call the AARP HQ in Washington, DC at (1-888-687-2277) . Make them live up to their motto: "Divided We Fall". LOAD UP THEIR PHONE LINES and make your voice and e-mail heard now - the time is now. IT'S TIME TO RIDE! (as Paul Revere said)

GB is right. Draconian laws are being generated - given birth to - fasater a litter of pigs. It's impossible to know all that is going on and coming our way. It's sort of like the census - this meeting about how I want to end my life (and I want to go in a blaze of glory rather than having the feeding tube pulled out of my nose). We've got to be watch dogs. You watch this DOG and keep GB advised. Other seniors will also. I will call AARP tomorrow - why those over paid dogooders aren't up in arms is beyond me. My watch assignment is something else. But I support you and will make the call by noon tomorrow.

Yes, but these heroes - (if this is true, and I really do find it difficult to believe) - became felons overnight. Just like what may happen to those citizens who are observers of the 2nd Amendment. Most people I know who actually own a weapon (firearm, pistol, rifle, shotgun) tell me that they would be hard pressed to turn-in their weapons in response to some federal mandate or executive order. But they would be fellons if they did not. A quandry. But then it is academic - in Texas nobody has a weapon. That is, other than a Mercedes, or Ford, or Chrysler, or jeep. And, those weapons have killed ten times the number of people (many first degree murder) than all of the intentional and unintentional discharges of handguns, rifles, pistols, M-16's, AK-47s, Light Antitank Weapons (LAW), and so on. God bless the NRA>

Goober - I signed up and they asked: my first & last name; screen name, e-mail, and that was all. No phone number that I could see. I assume the first/last name is somewhat confidential (that's a laugh) but the h(eck) with it. However, the screen name and logo remain the same - at least for now. See you later.

Okay, Goober . . . I am now a TWIT - or whatever. Screen name (pdchaplain) and photo (my blanked-out badge as here). As soon as I figure out how to play, I'll be connected.
Thanks.
