Toasts, I have not been around lately because of terrible things happening in the world and being sad about the last days of the Toast and also work stress and moving stress but you guys are the best. <3 I will try to figure out this Slack thing soon, promise.

Oh and also my husband and I are moving back to Philly from the Bay Area in less than two weeks!!! We are driving with two cats. It will be hell. I am terrified and excited all at once, mostly because we are still trying to find jobs. But heyyyy Philly toasts!

I do! We groom the cats daily to help with their shedding so I mixed up a bottle of detangler spray, gritted my teeth and paid for the thick and curly tangle teezer, and I am trying to brush my hair almost every day. I think it is helping a little. My hairs end up everywhere: the fridge, the floor, inside the cats.

We are moving in less than two weeks away from our excellent library system (*sniff*) so I am reading my face off. Currently I am reading a gun book by Lisa Mason about a Chinese feminist from the future that time travels to 1890s San Francisco.

I love pickles waaay too much so sometimes instead of eating too many of them I slice up cucumbers, sprinkle salt and vinegar on them, swish them around and leave them in the fridge for a couple of hours. Snacktime!

We got married because my boyfriend's cats did not really accept me as a permanent part of his life. I figured it would fix everything. Sadly, if I had consulted with a feline lawyer beforehand, I would have known that cats accept no human contracts as legally binding according to cat law. Oh well I guess.
