Mostly I hope they don't get rid of the remains in the scenery they use, have it stand as a memorial/historical site. Kids shows don't leave enough scars of past wrongs behind, typically, it adds a sense of history to have a few lying around, especially ones the viewers care about.

oh wow, I didn't notice that parallelism, but darn if it doesn't work. And that makes Twilight moving into the old castle a step backward, so of course they couldn't do that. What I'm wondering is if with the creation of this new 'tree', the Tree of Harmony was effectively relocated to there, since I'm pretty sure this episode is implying (what with Tirek and all) that the primal form of the Elements is in fact the Rainbow of Light, and it seemed to move to Twilight's castle.

Okay, first of all, you think it looks nice and then you get a grand tour of the building made entirely out of brown crystals. With green stuff on top. In case no one realized it, they essentially just gave Sparkle a mage tower. No complaints here. What we truly must complain about is those godawful super-mode designs and how someone needs to go to Hasbro's toy division and hide all the pastel crayons, because they've clearly demonstrated they can't be trusted with designing a color scheme.
