It also doesn't help that I live in ground zero for aint ish men aka Portland, Oregon. When I talk to married friends they tell me to move out of state or find me a new transplant. That just seems crazy. Im sure there are some men out here that are about something. I just haven't met him yet. My single friends tell me to lower my standards. Here is my list: a man with a Career or working on the road to success (not just talking but walking), that is God fearing, and doesn't think he should be able to lay up for free or when he becomes successful is entitled to more than one female, that loves his mama and either helps in church or the community, and is not abusive. What should I compromise here?
I work 2 jobs, cook (and I mean I can burn, my banana pudding is FAMOUS in these skreets), clean, I dont mind letting a man lead, I dont mind watching sports all day or playing video games, I am understanding and very loyal. I have patience and a kind heart. I dont care if you have kids as long as you take REAL care of them. I dont just give up the cookie, I like to be chased. Ect ect ect, yadda yadda yadda........ I pretty much hit all of the bullet points men say they want. But I should settle? Naw son I'm good. So I wait.
A good friend of mine has a 2 year plan to move to Austin, TX. She moved here from southern Cali to go to law school, and says the state of men here is depressing and wants me to go with her to greener pastures. IDK tho I will be pissed if I move and found the same type of men there too. She promises the men are different outside the state but I'm skeptical. So I wait.

I dont really know about other states but in Oregon all the mandatory classes are free and you get a case worker that comes out does home visits and make sure your house is ready for the new child. I'm done with my classes and now Im in the evaluation faze. It takes about six months total for the process to be completed. Even if you are adopting kids and you need financial assistance they will give you a little ( and I do mean small) amount of money to take the kid on long term.
I know adoption agencies seem the way to go if you want a 'perfect' kid but let me tell you the ones you have natural can make you wanna give em back. Its takes a strong person, period, to raise a child. You can always do like I am and try fostering first if you are scared you aren't strong enough.
