I'm curious what you think of abortion if the mother is in risk of losing her life due to the pregnancy. This is the most one we hear of most often here in Ireland due to a recent controversy involving a woman that fell gravely ill due to her pregnancy and wasn't saved, despite her husband begging the physicians to abort the fetus to save her. (It's illegal here.)
Most children who receive free school breakfast are given it because their parents are extremely poor and cannot afford to give them ANY breakfast, let alone a proper breakfast. Even if the breakfast is not the healthiest choice, at least it enables children to have something in their tummies when the school day begins. Studies show that children who eat breakfast can concentrate better than those who do not, behave better than those who do not, and score higher on tests than those who do not. It doesn't have anything to do with lazy parenting and everything to do with a lack of food in the household.
Oprah Winfrey is a mother. Her son passed away in infancy, but that still doesn't take away the fact that she gave birth to him. Furthermore, Oprah was brought up a Christian (her grandmother taught her to read at three so that she could recite Bible verses) and has remains a Christian to this day.
