I'm pretty sure there is going to be a march on Washington on Sept. 12th. There will be groups of folks organizing to go, from Montgomery. It's in the works.

I don't think NK has the power to harm the US at this time. I do however think that the govt can use the threat as a diversionary technique while it passes more harmful legislation. Can't agree that we have a president that is all talk and no action. He is VERY busy. I wonder if our govt doesn't look at the North Koreans as a tool ... to create diversion presently, and in the future when a real threat or attack occurs, as a crisis to spur yet more life-changing legislation while wagging their fingers at citizens, telling us that the attack was our fault for being so arrogant and dismissive. I realize that I'm ascribing the worst and most dastardly motives to our govt, but this 4th of July I can truly say that I've become the anti-Michelle. While she is proud, for the first time, of her country, every day I am less and less so.
So Sarah Palin is stepping down. I just watched her speech and am nearly in tears. I can't believe it's come to this. All these attacks on her, personally and financially, have now come to a head, and all because she is an honorable woman. I could just cry. it is just evil what they did to her. Just evil. Am beginning to think that the reason that O'Bama can't produce his birth certificate is because he was born of a jackal. I am just infuriated.
Glad to see you posting and answering questions, as I admit I was shocked to hear the news report when it came out, of companies dumping hormones, etc., into the water. I HAD thought that we paid money to have our tap water "cleaned" and so this confused me. We appreciate your comments.
What about tall people? Don't they eat more than short people, and so shouldn't they be penalized, too? and what about athletes? they eat more because they expend so much energy. So they should be penalized, too. And of course men eat more than women, so they should be penalized, too.
Surely this is some kind of a joke.
I just want to make it clear here ... I am asking you if you have thought through your ideas. I am NOT saying that we need to physically revolt.
Yanqui, how are you going to carry out this violent revolution? Have you given any thought to a scenario wherein the Americans become violent, and federal or UN forces are enlisted to subdue it? would we be plunged into a civil war? Because quite a large portion of our country are FOR socialism, and would be fighting against us. Like you I am frustrated. How are we to vote them out of office, when even Dodd is only 16% behind in the polls! It astounded me that he even got ONE person still pulling for him. I'm at a loss.
Oh! Oh! That is exactly what I think. Want to subdue the population? Feed them drugs that make them perpetually loopy. And wouldn't that be a huge boon to the government, to have control of what would become a mammoth industry?
Well, I have to say that it was my impression that the lady was not going out on a limb to buy the house, and her job was not shaky. But I could be wrong. My impression was that the banks are not lending ... to anyone. The banks are the ones saving their money (well ... our money).
Oh! I do have to agree with Valkyrin, that even if they say they will not increase taxes on the poor (and they will), they will make up for it in other ways.
But another thought is ... tobacco is a fairly large industry. With cigarettes and tobacco going up so much in cost, I have to wonder if it will drive them out of business, as more and more people choose to forgo the expense. Then, will they get a bailout? Then, will the govt. have taken over one more large industry? I just wonder.
