Grew up in Maryland, also dead. SENATOR BARB.
I played tons of Cribbage in community college, because I was sixteen and could not go to parties. I think I still have a board somewhere.
I grew up in PG County and this is exactly how my family has always described it. Now I live in Missouri and try not to laugh when people complain about humidity, because that's rude. But still, even right on the Missouri, it doesn't feel that bad to me.
I said it up high but seriously, Hy-Vee will hook you up now. It's not tons of fancy cheese, but they have a decent selection of hard cheeses and occasionally nice soft cheeses.
Hy-Vee and Schnuck's are both my jam. Hy-Vees tend to have nice hippie healthfood sections now, and Schnuck's tends to have pretty excellent produce. Hy-Vee also has good cheese and excellent (if pricy sometimes) quality meat.
I want to bite. I don't start my new degree program until July, it sounds like, because the transcript review people were too stubborn to contact my enrollment counselor and say "hey we have several people with that name, which one is this certification for?" In his defense, my counselor sounded ready to bite too. He sent them the dang thing! They could have asked him!
Plus I'm having my first period since having a uterine polyp removed and even with less blood, I am apparently still 100% dysphoric when menstruating. Who wants to help me bite the world? We can cover our faces in shaving foam and pretend to be rabid.
This made me realize that I babysat for someone who might have had the misfortune to clerk for Rehnquist at the same time as Cruz. I sincerely hope that was not the case, since she in no way deserved that. Even if I was utterly terrified of her.
Then there's the odd way that FFXIV ARR uses them, where Y'Shtola is said "ish-toh-la" but then her proper name is actually Shtola. The Y indicates clan.
Thankfully, not all law people are wedded to the Latin. Iirc, Maryland has been trying to move to plain English where possible, since the Latin annoyed a few big deal judges in the state.
I feel like I need a life because all I'm reading right now are technical manuals for IT certifications.
