So by Breyer's logic, I know it will never happen, bu if the DC City Council nexts passes a law outlawing abortions in DC, will he tell those who want one to get on the metro and go to Maryland? Somehow, I don't think so.

"We don’t want to take that out of our budget"

I wonder if it ever occured to them, maybe we don't want to take more out of our budgets either. And i wonder what he means by "our budget"? doesn't the money belong to the taxpayers?

Don't you just the tolerance of the radical left? And these are the people to accuse Conservatives of racism at the drop of a hat.

Hater: another amusing perspective. Your comments about Rick Berg reminds me about the times Byron Dorgan did…….what a minutes, except for owing rental property in Bismarck, Dorkin has never started a business, created a job, met a payroll, balanced a budget, created wealth, spent sleepless night worrying about his business, paid legal and accounting fees to steer his business through a maze of regulatory red tape? You mean through just about his entire adult life, Dorkin has either worked for or been elected to government offices that have not created any wealth or contributed to our economy? He is just like the waterboy who sits on the bench criticizing those who actually play the game, get dirty, skin their knees, and gets knocked down while he does not even get his hands dirty. And in my opinion, Senator Countrywide and newly defeated little Lord Pompousroy are just as bad.

Oh, wait a minute, I may have too harsh on Dorkin. While those in the private sector were busy creating jobs and wealth, Dorkin has been busy passing new regulations on hard work and when someone manages to make a profit, he taxes it away. What a swell guy.

So, what is the big deal? How is Kardashian fans getting a card and using it without really reading the fine print or taking the time to understand it any different than our elected Congress critters voting to pass a so-called health care reform bill without reading or understanding what is in the bill? A bill that affects every American and almost 20% of our economy.

Just like Congress voting for health care reform to “find out what is in the bill”, Kardashian fans need to get the card to find out how it worked and discover its pitfalls.

If we could get an accurate accounting, it would be interesting to see how much of this wealth actually makes it into the pockets of the rank and file union member and how much will be sucked off the top by the union bigwigs. Using a popular Dem/Lib/Progress pejorative, how much of the money will go to the union elites at the top and how much will “trickle down” to the rank and file? Or for that matter, how much of the money will end up in the coffers of the democrat party?

Did I miss something here? From the piece, I get the impression that this was started by politicians in St. Paul and passed by the MN legislature, but somehow ND customers are going to have to pay more too. If this, indeed, is the case, why do those in ND have to pay more too? Shouldn’t those in MN be solely responsible for their legislature’s follies?
