I train in Brazilian Jujitsu and I love the idea of one day just traveling to different countries and training in their gyms.

Yesterday and the day before I felt pretty good about myself and how to direct my life. I was pretty excited about some future plans. Then last night and now, I am filled with slight dread and I have no idea why. It's pretty annoying.

This collection is especially soothing. I love shorelines so much.

Concerts, really good concerts, can be a spiritual experience for me. I remember making a concert friend for a Wild Flag show. When it was over, we both gave each other nods. Like we looked at each and knew what the other personal was feeling. It was magical.

We should form a "I nearly destroyed my body by sneezing" club. Once while working at an injury law firm, I sneezed hard enough to hear a crack in my lower back and feel a weird tingly, electric feeling going up and down my leg. These are the same symptoms described by clients who were in car accidents.

Music rec thread! Share what's making you happy. I'll copy and paste my reply to CleverManka when she asked about ambient electronic music:

I'm pretty new to ambient electronica, but I will also shout out HOME for something super chill. Manatee Commune is another new one I found that I'm liking so far. And Pogo! His stuff was making the internet rounds a few years back for remixing Disney movies into incredible trippy yet soothing music.

On the indie band side, I find The xx and Glass Animals to be very relaxing when I want my mind to settle.

I'm also enjoying the new Bastille album now.

I am currently loving the new Bastille album, which is more indie pop.

Can this be the music recommendation thread? I was having fun coming up with recommendations.

When I find myself spiraling in a hate-spiral, I usually allow myself an hour to feel sorry for myself, then I make fun plans for the rest of the week. Even if it's something like "peruse the record store" it makes me feel like I have some control over my life.

Then I indulge in take out, browse fun art tumblrs and binge on feel good books, fics or shows.

I need to pass the Star Trek article to my roommates. The ones who marked the 50th Anniversary on the shared calendar.

Laurie Penny is usually great. I wholly recommend Discordia, a short book written about Greece during the 2008 crisis and illustrated by Molly Crabapple (another amazing writer to check out if you haven't already).

It is very tempting to dance like this while waiting for the bus.
