The burning of the Reichstag was the key event that allowed Hitler to consolidate power. He claimed he had no other choice, and it was in the best interest of the German people.

I am in no way equating Obama to Hiter in terms of their personal agendas, but in terms of the consolidation of unlimited government power. There is always an event, which is used to validate a grab of power.

In my opinion the economic catastrophe that the US faces now is our burning Reichstag. Maybe I'm wrong and the Reichstag hasn't burned yet. Just ruminating.....
